Do Not Drink … Play!
If you enjoy a beverage ever so often, keep your money out of the casino if you plan to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your evening bag, your wallet, and keep all cash, charge cards and checks back at the hotel. Grab only the money you expect to spend on refreshments, tipping and only the pocket change you intend to lose and leave the remainder behind.
Contemptuous? Not at all. Just realistic. You may well have a success following a drunken evening out with your acquaintances and be lucky enough to hook a 25 minute roll at a hot craps game. Hang on to that account considering that it is as brief as it gets if you consistently drink alcohol and bet. These activities just do not mix.
Leaving your cash out of the casino is a little dramatic, but defensive measures for drastic actions is necessary. If you bet to succeed, then don’t consume alcohol and play. If you can afford to throw aside your assets without a concern, then consume all the no charge booze you are able to handle, but don’t pack credit cards and checkbooks to throw into the mix of chasing losses after your drunken brain squanders everything!
Permit me to carry this one step more. Don’t drink and then hop on the internet to bet in your favorite casino either. I enjoy a beer from the coziness of my house, however since I’m connected through Neteller, Firepay and keep credit cards in close proximity, I can not consume alcohol and bet.
Why? Even though I do not drink alcohol a lot, once I drink alcohol, it is certainly sufficient to cloud my judgment. I wager, so I don’t drink when wagering. If you are more of a drinker, don’t wager at the same time. Both create a decimating, and costly, cocktail.
